ROCK PLATFORM: wear an AS4758 lifejacket, watch the swell for 20–30 min first, wear non-slip footwear, never fish alone, never turn your back on the ocean. Lifejackets are compulsory by law on rock platforms in this council area. (Northern Beaches). Long Reef Aquatic Reserve: line fishing for finfish only; no bait/invertebrate collecting.
